[UPDATED] Devs' Corner: April 2025

Gotta give credit where credit is due, doesn't happen enough on this game, so it has be be acknowledged Thank god all those pesky companions are out of sight when choosing bmi's to put on your horse, it was just sooo messy and tiresome sorting thru that huge list looking for important bmi's only to be hidden by the mountains of mostly useless companions.

On the other hand, I really like the set up for choosing the companions for each horse, being able to refine your search to a certain skill is perfect for skillers ect, but mainly just glad they're off the table when choosing bmi items .
I think it would have been better to have just added a small icon in the 'items' section of the 'characteristic' tab than to dedicate a new block just for companions. The idea was valid, execution typically lacks thought.

It is not Exclusive or 'restricted' to the purchaser of a VIP acc, any player can access some of the VIP perks if they play on mobile

This needs to be urgently addressed and rectified

I have seen you mention it a couple of times Josey and have definitely always agreed but I didnt realise just how bad it has actually gotten.

Considering the false advertising, Howrse should be compensating subscription players upon the review of the subscriptions.

Speaking of the stupid mobile version - when opening the game on a desktop, is anyone else having the mobile version open directly instead of the desktop? I have had it every time in the last two days.

This better not be a precursor to Howrse trying to force the mobile version onto players who dont want it.
There are plenty of us that have repeatedly said we arent interest and prefer the desktop...

Yes it's getting totally out of hand now, almost every time they introduce a new 'update', the mobile version get's one more of our VIP perks added. It's extremely frustrating and l'm afraid if we say nothing, that's exactly what will happen

I haven't experienced that. I hate the mobile version and if they ever decide to change our desktop version to the mobile one, that will be the day l stop playing

Wonder what device you’re using? I have noticed that I can force the game into mobile mode by inserting “m.” in the url on my ipad, but otherwise it opens via classic by default. Opening via my phone will just revert it to the m. mode even if I try to remove the “m.” to force it to the classic mode.

Just as an experiment I also tried looking up Howrse on Google and it is interesting that the SEO has the “m.” version of the links for each of the servers, rather than linking to the classic version.

If it keeps on occurring you may need to try clearing the “m.” link from your browser’s memory.

Can we get the daily objectives page fixed on mobile so they actually show up on the progress bar when completed instead of having to refresh/leave page for them to show up. It's super annoying especially when you have enough to get the HOP and then have to refresh/leave page in order to collect it.
